One of a kind, hand-made, extremely aerodynamic, carbon fiber time trial/ triathlon/ road bike. Frame number T0049.  Made by AFH of Finland. It only weighs 17.8 pounds with the Zipp 404 wheel set (custom laced rims with red Ritchie hubs), Tufo 700Cx21 tubular tires, Easton EC70 Aero carbon road bar with Ultegra brake/ shifters, Dura-Ace front and rear derailleurs and Truvative Elita 172.5mm 39-53 double chain ring crankset, Wippermann Connex chain, Shimano 12-25 9 speed gearing and Sella Italia titanium Flight saddle.
In addition to the road bar setup, I'm also including a triathlon/ time trial setup: Profile Design Carbon Strike carbon aerobar/ base bar set with Dura-Ace shifters and Dia Comp brake levers (w/ 2 extra sets of arm pads and 1 extra set of arm cups and their brackets); Dura-Ace 180mm 39-53 double chain ring crankset and bottom bracket; 2 sets of pedals- Shimano SPD with cleats and Speedplay Frog pedals- no cleats; a spare Wippermann Connex chain; and a Shimano Ultegra front derailleur- the finish on the mounted Dura-Ace one is flaking.
(I tried boxing everything up and the second set of wheels didn't fit.  So, I'll keep the Cane Creek aluminum wheels and reduce the price.) The carbon Zipp wheels are included!
So, you're getting 2 bikes in one- a crazy fast triathlon/ time trial bike and a comfortable road bike.  I've ridden 200 mile weekend rides on this and was very comfortable.  The bend in the "seat tube" allows it to flex a tiny bit when you hit bumps, so it really soaks up stuff that would pound you on a bike with a straight seat post.  But it's also really stiff in the frame and has a very light carbon wheel set, so it accelerates instantly.  We don't have hills here in Ohio, so I can't really speak to how it climbs, but I have to imagine it will be impressive.
Approximate size 55 cm "top tube" length.  I'm 6'1" tall with a 33" inseam and it fits me perfectly with the seat 1/4" above the lowest setting. There's another 1" of vertical adjustment for the seat position. Tons of adjustment on the Profile Design aerobar set and the road bar stem can be changed if need be to adjust the reach when you have it set up for road racing/ group riding.
This bike was made in Finland in the early 2000s by AFH, an aerospace company.   It was completely ahead of it's time and was basically copied by Cervelo 20 years later in their PX model line- the large PX and this AFH have essentially the same geometry, but with different seat attachment designs and the Cervelo was $10,000+.
This has a few minor scratches on the frame, the flaking finish on the front derailleur (like new Ultegra replacement included), and rash on the right front shifter cap (it's replaceable) from the only time I've ever put a bike down.
Why am I selling?  I'm 53 and haven't raced in years.  I broke my shoulder and need something more upright.  You know how it goes.
This is a piece of art, in my opinion, that also happens to be a stable, comfortable, ridiculously fast bike.
I'll bet you've never even seen a picture of one, let alone seen one on the road.  Oncoming riders have literally ridden off the road looking at it as they pass.  It's a really unique bike.
Feel free to reach out with questions or to make me a reasonable offer.  I have no idea what it's worth, since there are just a few dozen on the planet.
Free shipping in the Continental US.  If you're someplace else, let me know and we'll figure something out.
