1939  SCHWINN EXELSIOR DX  26" Pre-War  KLUNKER  Mountain Bike MTB Cruiser My 1939 Schwinn Excelsior Klunker....built up in classic Repack style. Well regarded frame builder, Bernie Mikkelsen, brazed on canti mounts. I then flattened out the kick stand tab and tapped it for a rear derailleur. This is a legit Mt. Tam Fat Tire Flyer built up with era appropriate parts. The tires even are original Carlisle cruiser tires. They have some sidewall splits and should be replaced before riding but are cool to have.
