  • This stem came from a 1962 Schwinn Deluxe American
  • They used this drop forged stem on the higher end Schwinn models. The lesser models got a pressed stem. 
  •  It is not dated
  • Will fit most all vintage Schwinns. It is 7/8" diameter and takes the top nut in the head set with straight sides to fit 7/8". In the later 1960's the stems were 13/16" diameter and took the tapered top nut to fit 13/16".
