1963 Viking Track bike Beryl Burton 53cm. The story on this bike is: in 1963 after Burton won the Worlds, Viking reneged on a 100 pound bonus. So she sold her two Viking bikes, this is one of those. It came to USA via Bill Allan (or Alan) who was part of the British Cycling, as a coach I believe. He purchased the bike directly from her at that time. I bought the bike from a fomer bike shop owner, who got it directly from Bill Allan. This bike has not been changed, updated or painted, well almost, bar tape and tires have been changed. The wheels are 24 spoke high flange Airlite hubs with Schreen Weltmeister tubular rims tied and soldered, TA cranks, Unica Nitor plastic saddle, Cinelli steel track bars and stem, Lyotard track pedals. Here is a link to the other Burton track bike. As you can see this one matches the bike in the photo. https://www.cyclinglegends.co.uk/index.php/bikes/race-winning-bikes/54-beryl-burton Local pick up at: Cupertino Bike Shop
