The Mountains are for Younger Riders with Stronger legs and Stamina...I got Old. This Calfee Carbon Fiber Tetra Pro was made (2014) to accept Campagnolo's EPS 11 Speed Component Group. It's almost a Complete Bicycle...The Brooks Saddle, Vintage Campagnolo Seat Post and Campagnolo ProFit Pedals stay with me. All the Serious Riders I know are particular about their Saddles and Shoe/Pedal Systems. The Fork is an Original Reynolds Carbon Fork with a 1" Steer Tube that came from Calfee. The Calfee Tetra Pro came with a 1-1/8" Head Tube. Chris King produces a "Devolution" Headset which allows the 1" Fork to work flawlessly with a 1-1/8" Head Tube. This is the Only non-Campagnolo component ever put on any of my bicycles. I must say...It is a Superb Headset! Calfee was chosen because it represents a Modern Carbon Fiber approach with Traditional Geometry. A rock solid yet extremely light Frame and Fork combination. The Frame has a NUDE finish...meaning there is no Clear Coat or Paint. ALL DECALS are intact! The Handlebar and Stem are Bontrager. This model Handlebar was designed to work with the Campagnolo Shifter/Brake Levers. This Bicycle is Clean and has been Meticulously Maintained. The Campagnolo 11 Speed Chain was replaced yearly. The Electronic Shifting has worked FLAWLESSLY since its installation in 2014. The Battery is mounted on the DownTube below the H2O cage. It's easy to access and hides well when Water Bottles are used. The entire system is WATER PROOF and comes with Certification . I can only say this...an 11 cog rear cassette is all I ever needed to climb the highest mountains on the East Coast. Not having a 12 cog Cassette won't keep you from performing well. The Campagnolo Wheelset ( Carbon Neutron ) comes with a 11-28T Cassette and are the lightest Wheelset in my collection. Also included is the Battery Charger and Instructions. I would typically charge the battery 3 maybe 4 times per heavy riding season. Keep the magnet attached when NOT riding and battery discharge will be a minor concern. There are color indicators warning you of a low charge. This Bicycle is NOT for the occasional rider. Serious riders need to look at this bargain! No PROPRIETARY parts!
