Beautiful Vintage 1980 Santana Tandem Phil Wood Prototype Bike Suntour Superb.
I acquired this gem from a couple who knew the main welder at Santana. The couple told me this was the prototype bike built that later became the top line touring bike at the time. They only took the classic on a couple of tours before selling it to me. I’ve loved riding around town with folks on special occasions but not often at all. This bike has sat in storage longer than I’d like to admit making it a barely ridden time capsule! I’ll give it a clean and tune one last time before handing it over, but everything is functioning well on the bike.
Shipping:
I have never shipped a tandem and have some concerns about shipping a box this large. My primary concern is the possible cost, but if the cost is reasonable, I have no concern packing it up and sending it out. That being said, if an in person pickup was possible, this would be by far my preferred option.
This bike is cherry and would make an excellent addition to one’s collection! I’ve loved this gem for a long time and am finally ready to let it go.
