Andre Bertin had been a professional cyclist for France-Sport Wolber from 1935 to 1937 with riding track one days and six day events mainly. He trained on the local Rosati velodrome in St. Laurent Blagny, where he started his later carreer as a manufacturer of frames and bicycles at the end of WW II although Bertin’s distinctive Tri-colour and Eagle logo was registered in 1950 first. " This frame is mid 1960s, probably 1963-1964 built. Size is 57cm Reynolds 531 steel, Nervex lugs, high quality built. Freshly painted in a beautiful red colour. The frame has a small dent almost hidden, on left seat stay, close to the seat lug. Otherwise the frame is straight and hasn't got any issues. The frame and fork come with Stronglight Bottom bracket, headset in very good condition. Note that the right hand BB cup has had a rod brazed onto it for removal, but is fully functional. Also a rear center pull brake cable stop is included along with the seat post bolt.
