Cilo was a Swiss manufacturer of bicycles founded in 1914 and located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Romanel-sur-Lausanne in the Vaud canton. The name is an acronym of Charles Jan Lausanne Oron with the “J” becoming an “I” for French pronunciation reasons. This classic beauty has survived and the bright red and blue finish still shines! The elegant lines of the lugged steel frame and the detailed lug work highlight the creator’s true craftsmanship. This bike has been freshened up with new cables, new housing, and new bar tape. It still sports the original stickers of the Tange 1 steel tubing. The bike is tuned and ready to ride.
With a 52.5cm effective top tube and a 51cm seat tube (c-c), this bike should fit most riders in the 5'4" to 5'7" range.

Extras: alloy color-matched bottle cage, metal pedals with clips and straps ( used, this classic Cilo is in Good to Very Good condition overall for an item of this vintage. As is typical for bikes this age, there is just a bit of patina on this one. There are a few minor scuffs and scrapes here and there from normal usage. The heaviest scrapes are located along the lower sides of the left seatstay (see photos). Mechanically, the bike is in Very Good condition and upon re-assembly by a qualified mechanic, the bike should be ready to ride. Please see all photos for close-up details. )
