Colson "double Eagle Clipper" Orig. Bicycle

Colson "Double Eagle Clipper" completely original Bicycle, Lady's Model, 2 tone Blue paint with silver trim and pinstriping, 1941 or 1942 bicycle with its original Dallas Texas license plate (mounted under the saddle). This bike was built by Colson, but is branded and sold by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Akron, Ohio. The frame is the "loop tail" design. Everything is completely original that came on this bike when sold. Original paint and chrome is remarkably still there. Some loss of tiny flecks exists on the top surface of the rear carrier under the saddle. The Delta fender light has bubbling in a small area on top piece of the light, but there are no holes. The saddle has sustained some damage to the upholstery (which is dry and brittle). Overall the paint and chrome on the bike is very good original, with minor scratches here and there from typical use by a woman or a girl who either treated it very kindly or didn't like to ride it much. It features the uniquely designed horn tank, with the badge attached to top surface of tank forward of the head tube. Other features include: chain guard, fender light, rear carrier, truss rods grips, and fabulous Torrington tear-drop streamlined pedals. It is a truly nice and a comfortably riding bicycle. And is a super looking bike even if you don't ride it. Wheel rims are original; tires are of newer origin. I will ship.
