Cycles AIGLON, (AIGLON was the nickname of Napoleon II,), was a historic and Noble Brand before Peugeot buyed the brand & factory at 1905. Peugeot, by committing in 1908 on the roads of the Tour de France, equipped its machines with the latest technical innovations and then created brands like Griffon, for more affordable bikes.
Advertising was not to be outdone, as evidenced by many magnificent outdoor posters from Simonidy Michel (1870-1933), example with an eaglet leading to the heights, or a lady with a red flower in her hair (that was the brand called L'AIGLON for ladies). Aiglon was also a brand of motorcycles also from 1911. Didier Mahistre has brought a historic addition to this brand, because The Aiglon brand were registered by Emile Debaralle in 1897 and purchased by Rodolphe Emile Koechlin, administrator of Les fils de Peugeot frères who incorporated them into the Peugeot cycle and automobile company in 1910.
Cycles AIGLON bikes are very rare because they built before when Peugeot buy the small factory, and because of the rarity of the original brand. Aiglon was a noble - historic brand, among the most exquisite at the beginning of the 19th century.
