GT Edge Road Bike, frame likely built for GT Team ('98) ~ 58TT x 58ST (both

A true Collector's item. I bought this from a rider about 15 yrs ago who said he had been on the GT team, and that the steel frame of this road bike was produced exclusively for a member of the GT Racing Team. Such frames of this year were typically built in GT's historic Colorado facility from Reynolds 853 steel. It features the blue/carbon fade custom GT team paint treatment on carbon fork. According to a person on weightweenies(dot)com, who owns and has raced this frame (as well as Titanium Edge frames) the frame weight only 4.5lbs, remarkably light for a steel frame. Frame features beautiful fillet brazed joinery, Henry James dropouts, a lugged seat tube with sculpted seat extension and debossed GT logo at rear end of the top tube, all likely handbuilt by the esteemed framebuilders at the Colorado shop. It is wonderful to ride, fast and lean, with the distinctive ride characteristics that only a high-end triple triangle GT can provide. Serial number is 98E103 (#103 in 1998 production run). Frame is 58cm TT (C-C) x 58cm ST (C-C), 33-1/4” standover. I've included a diagram with the frame dimensions with the photos of the bike on this listing.
Decals are all original and in very good condition. Paint is excellent, with some very small scratches and cable wear spots you'd expect from a bike that is about 25 years old.
