Handbuilt Santana Sovereign with S&S couplers and transport case

Santana Sovereign Tandem This Santana was custom-built for its owners in California and has served them well for many years. As they have aged they are finding that they don't use it as much anymore and have thus decided to sell it. As you can see, the tandem has been fitted with S&S couplers so it can break down for travel. The tandem fits in its own custom travel case (33" long x 27" tall x 15" wide).The tandem is geared with a triple crankset and a 9-speed cassette so it can handle most any terrain imaginable. Beyond its powerful Avid brakes it also has a disc drag brake to take the worry out of any long descents. Condition- The tandem is in good to very good condition; we rate it an 8 on a 1-10 scale. There are minor signs of wear cosmetically, but nothing worrisome. In other words, there paint scratches but not any dings, dents or signs of corrosion or crash damage. All components work as they should and the S&S couplers are all working just fine (we are currently cleaning and re-greasing them with the recommended lubricant). The case is also in great condition and has all of its original foam panels that hold and protect the various parts when the tandem is disassembled.
