Mechanically Restored 1951 schwinn Spitfire bicycle. Comes with original rear rack
An original Chicago made Schwinn
Serial number: H192005
All original parts, skiptooth cranks and rear cog. New Departure Model D coaster brake hub, made in USA, laced to original Schwinn ballooner s-2 rims. Original Schwinn script front hub laced to Schwinn s-2 ballooner rim. Original Schwinn script seat post and as seat clamp with springer saddle.
Newer Schwinn typhoon Corp correct replacement ballooner tires.
Restored mechanical condition, work done:
Cleaned and regressed wheel bearings,
Bottom bracket, headset, and coaster brake with high temp red grease.
Replaced tires and light truing work on wheels.
Coated the frame to preserve patina.
A nice all original bike that is ready to ride. Wheels roll smooth and bike rides dead quiet. Coaster brake works well, will lock up back wheel. Super comfy to cruise around on and such a pleasure to ride. Still retains the original paint with patina, a bike is only original once.
Frame is in excellent condition and has no major cracks or dents.
Excellent rat rod, klunker, cruiser bike.
