Purchased new by me from Rivendell Bicycle Works - champions of the road alt bar!
I have run alt bars on many of my bikes and have always loved them over drop bars. I ran these Albastache bars (mix of Albatross and Moustache shapes) on my 80’s Fuji S-12-s sport tourer bike for a couple years but after playing around with different stems I decided for my particular bike, top tube length and need to sit more upright, I needed to switch to an Albatross bar with its bigger rise and more reach.
The Albastache let me ride faster and more aerodynamically but my 60 year old back has made its point. With a shorter top tube, this bar would have been great.
You can run this bar either up or down for either more drop or more rise.
26mm clamp area for Road stems. Takes road brake levers - ran mine with cyclocross interrupter levers for a clean look.
The bar was fully wrapped in cork tape while it was on my bike and the aluminum is very clean - in beautiful shape.
