Phil Wood Spoke Machine.
Cuts and Threads spokes 14/15 gauge (1.8mm/2.0mm). We are the second owner of the spoke machine. It was originally in Witts Bicycle Shop in Hayward, California. Old man Witts seemed to know everyone, including Phil Wood and Mike Sinyard before Specialized. Only him and his wife operated the cutter. About 11 years ago, he passed away and the shop closed down, and we purchased it. It was working fine and still in active use. We took it down to Phil Wood and had them do their complete "spa service". They replaced all the bearings and wear parts. You can see all the service records and spare parts. Critically, they noted the thread dies had never been flipped (there are two sides, and you only use one side at a time). So we flipped the dies to the fresh side. Each side does about 60,000 spokes. This means it has a LOT of life before it needs service again. I don't know if I've ever seen another spoke machine for sale with service records.
Since then, we've only cut about 800 spokes. This was our second machine, in the basement, and we mostly just had it set to 1.8mm and never thought about it much.

IF you decide to do a local pickup in the 94541, you can have the metal cabinet it has been attached to for decades too. The Phil Wood Spoke Cutting and Threading Machine is designed and manufactured to provide an invaluable tool to manually size, cut, and place a factory-quality thread on a spoke within a few seconds. The thread is rolled/cold forged onto the spoke, which does not remove material as would occur if the thread were cut into the spoke. The machine performs through the operation of a manual crank. One revolution of the machine handle both cuts and threads the spoke. It is designed to cut and thread 1.8 mm (15 ga.), 2.0 mm (14 ga.), spokes and place 10 mm of 56 tpi thread on the end of each spoke.
