Restored/Modernized 1987 Specialized Hardrock Touring Bike Gravel Bike Town Bike.
This is a Specialized Hardrock from 1987 that has been professionally restored and modernized to be better than most new $600-$800 hybrid bikes available these days. I have had 7 years of experience as a bike mechanic, and in that time, I've done multiple ultra-distance tours and races. In that process I learned what makes a bike comfortable and enjoyable. This bike is built around that knowledge to be an excellent combination of comfortable, reliable, and fast. With a Brooks leather seat that acts like a hammock for your back side, Schwalbe Fat Franks that dampen the roads and gravel vibrations, and steel frame that absorbs the major blows, this bike is certain to be one of the most comfortable bikes you've ever ridden. It's also likely to last the next 50 to 100 years depending on how it is maintained! Every important part (including bottom bracket, rear wheel, chain, tires, brake pads, handle bars, seatpost and saddle, handlebar grips, brake levers, cables and housing, and more) have been replaced and upgraded as to provide this old frame with a very new feeling.
