I bought a steel, titanium-plated mountain bike frame and I built up the bike because I wanted a dependable bike but a very cool vintage bike. Frame is obviously used but the wheels are almost new, I moved the Shimano Ultegra components and seat from my road bike (Specialized Ronin saddle which is a top of the line road bike saddle) and the rest of the bike is brand-new. New Shimano Crankset and bottom bracket, new titanium handlebars, new titanium stem, new titanium seat post, new headset, new shifters, all new cables, new front derailleur, new bar tape, 2 sets of new tires (2.1 if you want a wider tire for aggressive technical terrain and 1 3/8 (35c) if you want a faster and narrower tire. The frame will accommodate wider mountain bike tires if that is what you want to use. I have Gravel King SK TUBELESS READY tires on the bike now. I spent over $1,000 on the new parts which does not include the cost for Ultegra components, saddle, and build. I built up another similar bike and I have decided to only keep one of the bikes.
