2015 Trek Emonda SLR - SRAM Red 22 - 13.5 pounds! - New Paint Job
This bike is in very good condition. There are many parts with very few miles. See the rundown below for all the details. This is a really fun bike and has served me well on some great rides (Triple Bypass, VTGF, etc.). It is a great climber, agile, and goes fast. I hate to see it go, but I'm looking to get a gravel bike and I need to raise funds. Frame:
The frame is from a 2015 SLR8 (originally black and gold; H2 fit, size 52). I bought it used several years ago. There was some very minor cosmetic damage near the BB from a chain drop which I decided to have repaired. Since I was going to the trouble to repair it, I decided to have the paint redone (see the last picture from Triple Bypass from before it was repainted). The current paint job is similar to the project one 'Amplified Alchemy' finish on newer bikes - It is gorgeous (Trek logo is painted on!). All work was done by Cyclocarbon (A++). The frame is basically in new condition. I have added clear 3M protective film in several areas for protection and also did a ceramic coat. The fork is cutdown for one 5mm spacer under the stem. I replaced all frame fittings / bolts when I bought it a couple years ago. Groupset:
The bike is equipped with SRAM Red 22 (mechanical). The FD and shifters came with bike when I bought it. They are in good working order (they have the earlier graphics). I replaced the crank when I bought the bike since I use 165mm (50-34). I also replaced the RD and cassette so that I could make it up Lincoln gap. The RD is the long cage version, and the cassette is the one-piece Red at 11-32. The chain is waxed. The BB is ceramic speed. Brakes:
The bike has the lighter version Bontrager speed stop rim brakes. These are super light and get the job done well. Bars:
Integrated Bontrager stem/bar for minimal weight. Stem length = 90mm; bar width = 40cm. Wheels:
Bontrager Aeolus 5 D3. These are in good condition. No issues, but they do have some use on them. They offer a good balance between weight and aerodynamics. 23 Conti GP5000 up front and 25 Conti GP 5000 in the rear (with latex tubes for both). The wheels can be setup tubeless if desired, but I've never gone that route. Seatpost/Saddle:
The top mast is new from when I originally bought the bike (needed 20mm setback) . The bike comes with the 68g Bontrager XXX saddle - It's a thing of beauty. Accessories/Misc:
The bike has Tune DC skewers for weight savings. I run these on all my bikes with QR's. I have found them to be super reliable and light. The bike also has Tune bottle cages and top cap. I have Jaguar links for the back section of the rear brake cable and RD (did not use up front, as I prefer regular cable there to keep the bars from flopping around when I'm not riding). I also have the bar mount for computer / light (both the single and dual mount version). I can include the 3D printed wahoo mount if you need it. NOT Included:
