Vintage 1984 Marinoni Columbus Campagnolo Touring Road Bike Steel Frame - 55cm
A really sweet frame! Totally custom ordered and handmade in Canada. How often do you see a classic Columbus SL frame with touring eyelets?! Eyelets for racks and fenders front and back. Even the original order sheet was supplied by the Marinoni company in Canada when the serial number was searched!
Lots of high end details - Marinoni Panto on the seat stay caps, Maple Leaf Panto on the fork crow, inner fork tangs, chromed chain stay, "M" cut-out in the bottom bracket, & double water bottle braze-ons. General "tight" geometry.
Condition - This frame definitely shows some wear and in my mind deserves to be built up and ridden. General paint chips here and there as shown, with some very subtle rust around some. The fork and rear triangle are chrome plated under the paint so the dropouts are designed up hold up well against abuse. The inside of the frame is clean. The frame is straight and there are no dents. Photos tell the story.
