I bought these new in the late 90's in case I ever needed to replace the ones on my bike due to a crash. But the original SD-2.0 levers are still going strong and I think that if I ever did get into a crash bad enough to damage them that would be the least of my worries!
There are some scuffs on them from being in storage and my having moved a few times since buying them, but they've never been used.
