Vintage Schwinn High Sierra Mountain Bike 1980s Old School Gravel Tour

Vintage Schwinn High Sierra, I believe a 1984. Frame has a 20" seat tube measured c-t-c, ~21.5" center to top of seat cluster. Top tube is 22.75" long. Classic black colorway with matching black Weinmann Concave wheels! Hard to find wheels, and these are super clean. Converted to a more modern "alt" style handlebar. Bontrager Satellite sweeps back toward you nicely, with 50mm rise. 630mm width. It's attached to a lovely Nitto stem.
This was updated with lots of new parts, some original vintage parts, and rebuilt with new cables, housing, chain, grips, tires. Had a little fun with housing colors. Bottom bracket overhauled with fresh grease. 2 x 6 (12 speed) FRICTION shifting with Suntour thumb shifters. Vintage Shimano crankset with double chainring setup and outer chainguard. Nice low profile, large platform pedals make for a grippy contact. New Kenda gumwalls roll nicely and look sharp. Vintage Avocet Condor saddle looks and feels great, it has a very small, barely noticeable nick toward the nose, pictured.
This is a vintage, pre owned bike! It has some scrapes and scratches, general wear and tear, as pictured. No dents, cracks, etc. Rides great! Rear hub has a tiny amount of detectable play in the sealed cartridge bearing. Only just noticed, more detectable in the stand, feels great riding. Ride it and replace the bearing when you feel like it. Some minor kickstand marring.
