Vintage 21.5" Witcomb Lightweight Specialists Reynolds Super 531 Steel Road Bike Frame & Fork Vintage 21.5" or 55cm Witcomb British Racing Tour Super 531 Road Bike Frame & Fork with Cool Lugs. Witcomb Lightweight Cycles was a Iconic British Frame brand from South London area specializing in custom handmade steel bicycle frames. Multiple Witcomb generations made frames and American Frame-makers Richard Sachs, Peter Weigle, Chris Chance and Ben Serotta had apprenticeships at Witcomb cycles. Frame Set Size: Seat tube 53.5cm Center to Center or 55cm / 21.5" Center to Top with a 54.5cm center to center top tube, with a 135mm head tube. Frame and Fork are Reynolds 531 Steel Tubes with Campagnolo Dropouts. The 1" Threaded Fork has 100mm Spacing and the Frame has 120mm Rear Spacing. Frame & Fork ++ is British / ISO Standard. Frame has Cool Lugs and I especially like the plethora of circle cut outs. Frame set is Used, has paint & decal loss, rust, blemishes, scratches. Rear brake bridge is slightly smooshed on the back side. Frame has small dent beside the super 531 script and has denting around the front Derailleur and the shifter mounting, they looked to of been overtightened. Paint is fair it looks to be original paint that had some really dark haze, it was deep cleaned and now there's is some paint loss, Cool Lugs Decent patina, probably needs new paint as I don't think you recover any more out of cleaning it more. The Serial # is Huge 11093XX and I suspect this frame set is late 1960s or early 1970s and is for 700c wheels. Comes as shown and what's shown weighs a tad over 5 1/2 pounds.
