Western Flyer double stem guard gooseneck pad black new but damaged

The is a new old stock Western Flyer stem guard, but it does have some damaged from being stored in a barn.  The metal buttons where it clips together have some rust on them - see pictures for close ups.  You could probably lightly sand those and paint the buttons either silver or black and it would look fine, but that would require some elbow grease.  The pad itself still looks good.  It will come as shown in the last picture in its original package, but the package is showing some wear too as you can see in the pictures.  But, if you have a original unrestored BMX bike from the 80's this could be a good accessory as is.  It is black in color and the part number on the package is 33-4016-3.  Please contact me if you have any questions and thanks for looking.
