WTB Speedmaster Cantilever Brakes - full set +parts - 1 broken pad

This is a set of two original WTB Speedmaster Cantilever brake sets, as well as an extra WTB Speedmaster post, extra linear return springs, assorted washers, cable hangers, and straddle cables as shown in the photographs. As is common with this design, one of the pad holders has cracked and split.  A second pad holder assembly also has cracked vertically through the threaded area and is unusable. These parts are non-repairable. You would have to source or machine a replacement part to have a full workikng set. The last three images show this in detail.
These brakes are used but in good condition considering their age. They are designed to fit on standard MTB/CX/Touring cantilever posts. Cable pull requirements are the same as any standard cantilever rim style brakes. There are pad holders included for cartridge type pads, but no brake pads in this set.

These brakes were highly sought after for their infinite adjustability for height, angle, and toe-in. This makes them a bit of a pain to set up, but once you get them in place, they are excellent brakes from the heydey of MTB cantilever designs. These WTB (Wilderness Trail Bikes) brakes were one of many brilliant designs by Charlie Cunningham, one of the original mountain bikers in the early 1980's.
